Tulsa, OK is soon to be on the map as the country’s heart of BMX racing. The Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, February 15th at new complex at 490 N. Lansing Ave. East. The Hardesty National BMX Stadium will have bleacher seating for 2,000 people and even more space in the expansive plaza area just west of the track. When you’re in the plaza you’ll be surrounded by vibrant color and stature sculptures (pictured) by Tulsa Artist Fellow Shane Darwent (whose artwork hangs in the OwnTulsa offices as part of our private collection).

The new complex will house space for professional and Olympic athlete training. In a recent article Fernandez was quoted giving even more spicy details of what’s to come for the facility. “You will have three levels of programming just on the track,” Fernandez said. “You’ll have your after-school coaching and clinics, more private experiences, we’ll have local and regional practices and races, and then we will have national teams, whether it is foreign or U.S., training here (Tulsa World).” The Hall of Fame’s first floor includes a museum center, a pro shop, and two classrooms for youth STEAM programs. We cannot wait!

OwnTulsa’s Realtors know all about welcoming new people and families to Tulsa. Some of the greatest joy of our work is helping introduce our clients and visitors to all the new and exciting cultural opportunities that call Tulsa home. We are thrilled to add this special complex and the growing opportunities for the USA BMX family and sport to the Tulsa pulse.

We hope you will join us in welcoming the USA BMX Headquarters to Tulsa!
